After studying abroad in Venice at 19, I fell in love with seeing new places and developing relationships with other cultures. Working as a travel writer for USA Today, The Huffington Post, Bustle, Matador, Pink Pangea, Wanderlust and Lipstick, and many others, I was able to travel much of the world as a freelance journalist.
I kayaked down the Amazon River, chased the Northern Lights in Iceland, out-danced a belly dancer in Morocco, and learned how to make the perfect pasta living in Italy. From these experiences, I set out to create a blog and company that resonated with millennial travelers. During all of these amazing adventures, I could see how we as humans have impacted our world–and sometimes not positively.
The Wayfaring Voyager is a blog devoted to encouraging sustainable travel and connections with local people. I believe that our generation can work toward a better future in travel and that an understanding of cultures and globalization will make for a brighter tomorrow.
